Creating a Pool
The Stadium NFT holders can create pools. The following information needs to be furnished while creating a pool:
Pool Name - A cool name for the pool
Entry Cost - The cost every player has to pay to enter and contest in the pool
Pool Type - Choose one from among 50-50, Winner Takes All, 80-20 Pareto, and 80-20 Inverse Pareto game types which will determine the risk-to-reward ratio for the players in the pool
Budget Cap - Amount available for each player of a pool to buy and create an 11 athlete team
The matches and sports format - Pool creators can choose if they want to hold a pool for a single match or a collection of matches. All the athletes part of these matches, including substitutes, will be available to players while creating their team. Pools can only contain matches of one format of cricket ie either Test, ODI, or T20.
Public (Open to all) or Private (Invite only) Pool
No of players allowed in the Pool
Commission for hosting the pool - The platform charges a constant 2% fee to everyone who joins a pool. The pool creators can charge an additional fee which will be their reward for hosting the pool. The total fees cannot exceed 10% so the pool creator can choose any value from 0% to 8%
[Optional] Additional reward in terms of tokens or NFT for the winner (only applicable in Winner Takes All pool type)
Finally, after creating the pool, a wallet transaction in SOL will be sent to the Pool Creator’s wallet. This is required to pay for the Solana rental fee as the data for the pool is stored on-chain. Once the pool is closed ie the games are done and the rewards are distributed, the rental fee will be returned to the creator’s wallet.
